Footwear Fair – Diyatha Uyana

Made in Sri Lanka footwear fair

In line with the Vision of Prosperity Manifesto, the Made in Sri Lanka marketing exhibition program has been launched to promote local industries. The second phase of the series of nationwide sales fairs held with the aim of giving new life to the footwear and leather industry, which has been crippled due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, has been organized from 25th to 27th August 2020 at Battaramulla “Diyatha Uyana” premises.About 50 companies that produce shoes and bags locally participate in these sales fairs. Consumers will be able to buy goods more profitably because they will get the opportunity to buy goods directly from manufacturers without intermediaries.

This trade fair was inaugurated on August 25, 2020 by the Minister of Industry Hon. Wimal Weerawansa. For this occasion, Mr. Upasena Dissanayake, Chairman of the Industrial Development Board, P.G.D., Chairman of the Footwear and Leather Manufacturers Association. Mr. Nimalasiri and the board members of the Industrial Development Board, Mr. Aloka Vahallawatta and Mr. Buddhika Wimalasiri also participated..
