Food Laboratory
The Industrial Development Board has initiated to establish a Food Laboratory at the Head office, Katubedda.
certificate for:
- Product testing for SLS and other International Standards
- Shelf life/Nutritional Composition for Labelling
- Food Spoilage / Food Safety
- Food Toxins / Pesticide Residues
Provision of laboratory facility will give the following benefits to industries
- To promote and develop the food industries through the provision of testing facilities
- To upgrade the quality of food products into local and international markets
- To strengthen the services of the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon
- To ensure the quality and safety of food products for consumers
