The Industrial Development Board (IDB), under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, was honored to participate in the 35th Rotary District Conference “Unite for Good”, organized by Rotary International District 3220 (Sri Lanka & Maldives) at ITC Ratnadipa, Colombo.
IDB Chairman Mr. Yasas Hewage joined the national dialogue on the National SME Strategy Framework, highlighting the collaborative efforts currently underway to align national SME development initiatives with the proposed 11-Pillar Framework.
Over the next 3–6 months, significant policy, governance, and institutional reforms are expected to be advanced through the collective engagement of the Ministry of Industry & Entrepreneurship Development, IDB, ADB, ILO, KPMG, EY, and a dedicated national task force creating a more coordinated, competitive, and future-ready SME ecosystem for Sri Lanka.
