Industry 2023 Galle Edition organized by the Ministry of Industry and the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon for the purpose of empowering an export-oriented manufacturing economy, the Southern Provincial Industry Exhibition, headed by the Minister of Industry and Health, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, with the participation of the Minister of State for Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera, and many distinguished guests. On December 28, the Galle Samanala Ground was inaugurated.

The Industry 2023 Galle Edition industry exhibition will include innovations, new technologies and many new industries in over 300 booths in 20 industries in the country, as well as many industries unique to the southern province. Opportunities have also been created.

At this inauguration, the Minister also made a loan for a selected group of small and medium scale entrepreneurs by the Bank of Ceylon.

Southern Province Governor Dr. Willy Gamage, Galle District Development Committee Chairman Member of Parliament Sampath Athukorala, Industry Ministry Secretary Tilaka Jayasundara, Southern Province Chief Secretary Sumit Alahakon, Galle District District Secretary Shantha Weerasinghe, Ceylon Industrial Development Board Chairman Dr. Saranga Alahapperuma, Southern Province Administrative Commissioner Ranil Wickramasekera, former Mayor of Galle District Priyantha Sahabandu, all Additional Secretaries of the Ministry of Industries and a large number of dignitaries were present.
