The People’s BizTeen Challenge 2025 was successfully concluded, marking another significant milestone in promoting school-level entrepreneurship across Sri Lanka.
Jointly organized by the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon and People’s Bank, this national initiative aims to nurture entrepreneurial thinking among school students while promoting financial inclusion at an early age. The program was launched parallel to the IDB School Entrepreneurship Circles under the guidance of the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development and the Ministry of Education.
The Award Ceremony was held on 13th February 2026 at the People’s Bank Auditorium with the participation of the Chairman of IDB Mr. Ravi Nissanka and Chairman of People’s Bank Prof. Narada Fernando, alongside distinguished guests, school representatives, teachers, and parents.
The competition focused on selecting the Best Entrepreneurial Concept, encouraging students to transform innovative ideas into practical business solutions. After a rigorous evaluation process, thirteen exceptional young entrepreneurial concepts were recognized and honored, with awards presented for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and ten Merit Awards.
