  • National Integrity Week 2026, “A Culture of Integrity – A Clean Sri Lanka”

Under the theme “A Disciplined Culture – A Clean Sri Lanka,” the National Integrity Week, jointly organised by the Presidential Secretariat and the Clean Sri Lanka Programme, commenced today (27) and will continue until 31 July.

To mark the launch of this national initiative, the National Integrity Pledge Ceremony was held today at the Auditorium of the Industrial Development Board (IDB) under the patronage of Chairman Mr. Yasas Hewage and Director General Mrs. Ruchira Dambarage.

The event was attended by officers and staff of the Head Office, while officers and staff from the District Offices participated virtually via Zoom.

The primary objective of National Integrity Week is to enhance the quality, efficiency and transparency of the public service while fostering a corruption-free, ethical and exemplary public administration. Following the conclusion of the National Integrity Week on 31 July, the programme will continue across all government and semi-government institutions until 31 December 2026.

Through the Integrity Pledge, IDB officers and staff reaffirmed their commitment to integrity, accountability, discipline, respect for the rule of law, protection of public property, rejection of corruption and misconduct, environmental stewardship, and dedicated service towards the sustainable development of Sri Lanka.
