Open Circle Dialogue on the Proposed Institutional Integration Held at the IDB
An Open Circle Dialogue was held on 3 August 2026 at the Auditorium of the Head Office of the Industrial Development Board (IDB) to brief employees on the proposed institutional integration process and to provide an open platform for discussion on their views, suggestions, and concerns.

The programme was attended by the Chairman, Directors, and employees representing all divisions of the IDB Head Office.

During the session, participants were informed of the current status of the proposed institutional integration, its anticipated implementation process, and its implications for employees. Staff members were given the opportunity to openly raise questions, express their views, and seek clarification on matters relating to the proposed changes.

In parallel with the event, employees were also provided with the opportunity to submit their questions, suggestions, and comments in advance by scanning a QR code. A significant number of valuable observations, concerns, and recommendations were received through this initiative.

The questions and suggestions submitted both during the Open Circle Dialogue and through the QR code platform were comprehensively addressed by the Chairman together with the Director – Administration, Mr. Chaminda, who provided detailed explanations and clarifications on the matters raised.

Through initiatives such as the Open Circle Dialogue, the Industrial Development Board continues to promote transparency, employee engagement, and open communication while fostering a collaborative organizational culture during periods of institutional transformation.
