✅ The Asian-Oceanian computing industry organization (ASOCIO) is an ICT federation organized by ICT associations representing 24 economies throughout the Asia Pacific.
✅ ASOCIO influence covers more than 20,000 ICT companies in the region. Today, ASOCIO member economies represents the region accounting for USD$1 Trillion in global ICT revenue.
✅ ASOCIO’s objective is to promote, encourage and foster relationships and trade among its members, and to develop the computing industry in the region. Under the ASOCIO umbrella, member economies are provided with an opportunity to collaborate amongst the member economies for growth.
✅ Presently, ASOCIO comprises of 24 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lao PDR, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Recognizing the importance of digital adoption, the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon, being a government agency is actively working to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through our Digital One Stop Shop initiative. This initiative offers various services to help MSMEs integrate technology into their operations and marketing strategies, enhancing their competitiveness in the digital age. The IDB acts as a one-stop shop for Sri Lankan industries, offering a comprehensive range of services and support mechanisms – from training and infrastructure to market expansion and digital transformation initiatives. Our commitment is to empower Sri Lanka’s industrial sector, ensuring its continued growth and contribution to the nation’s economic prosperity.
This is the Industrial Development Board’s first ever international award, winning by the IDB, IT Unit at ASOCIO Digital Awards 2024 in Tokyo for the unbridled efforts and contribution towards, introducing innovative and digital ways to interact with MSMEs, developing and maintaining the digital one stop shop, aka. IDB Digital Suite and enhancing digital literacy by conducting seminars, workshops and surging events. Mr. V.
