
In alignment with the National School Industry Entrepreneurship Circles Program, the Industrial Development Board of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with People’s Bank, ceremoniously launched the People’s BizTeen Challenge – 2025, a nationwide competition designed to select the “Best Entrepreneurial Concept” among school students.
This occasion also featured the formal sharing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between People’s Bank and the Industrial Development Board to foster youth entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka took place on 16th July 2025 at 3:00 PM at the People’s Bank Staff Training College (No. 07, People’s Leasing Building, 10th Floor, Havelock Road, Colombo 05).
The event was graced by Professor P.N.D. Fernando, Chairman of People’s Bank, and රවී නිශ්ශංක මහතා, Chairman of the Industrial Development Board. Also in attendance were Ms. Aruni Liyanagunawardena, Deputy General Manager – Retail Banking & Overseas Customer Services at People’s Bank, and Ms. Renuka Jayalath, Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Division at the Industrial Development Board, along with senior officials, school principals, teachers, and students.
